It was some months ago when I found the group NAVIHANKE on YouTube. They got my attention. Although I listen most to classical music I like to turn from time to time to something else within the categories of our manifold common universal language. And I am still going back to their videos quite often. Why is NAVIHANKE so appealing? Alright, there is no discussion about the beautifulness of all 5 singers. Still everything goes beyond that. Their performance is professionally skilled and their repertoire is astounding manifold and delightful. Their new video performances are just masterpieces. Their outfits are charming and their personal performances spreads vibrancy. I have the image in my mind that the answer to the extreme opposite of the experience of boredom in life is experience of NAVIHANKE. They like to move and throw lovely looks at each other as they enjoy themselves.

They make you feel the lightness and joyfulness of life. The performing of songs in their native language must not be disadvantage, just the opposite. It gives them uniqueness and the more often you listen to the songs the more the ear discovers. Notably those who cannot understand the logical meaning of the words have the advantage to hear their words double fold as music. There is a message to be understood without understanding the words. And in addition to all this the singers as there are Jasmina, Maša, Sonja, Tamara, Tanja, convince with their authentic personalities. You can feel that they perform music out of conviction. It is their meaning. And everything else, like fame and success they naturally aspire for, remains a side-effect of their basic intentions. And because that is the case they will succeed, as they have already in their own country Slovenia.

The whole package of vocal and instrumental music, of performance and character, of personal expression and beauty, of professionalism and joyfulness is an experience I like no one to miss. Don’t waste your opportunity but have a great evening as you encounter and savor NAVIHANKE live!
